DigitalHipster Inc. Relocates to Highland Square in Akron, Ohio

After 10 years in Wadsworth, Ohio, we finally became #Emptynesters and were ready to start a new chapter.  In September, Wendy and I relocated our digital agency and home to Highland Square in Akron, Ohio. After about a month, its’ starting to feel like home. Even though we work virtually with most of our clients, we wanted to be closer to many of the local Akron businesses for which we patronize and help with digital marketing, web design, and video production. Akron just happens to be smack-dab in the middle.

Why Work & Live in Highland Square?

One of our dreams was always to live in a century home that needed just enough restoring to give us a hobby. We wanted to be able to walk to the grocery store, restaurants, yoga, music events, and the movies. We always loved the hip culture and Big Little City feel of Highland Square. This artsy hub of Akron has always held a special place in our heart. Highland Square’s turn-of-the-century architecture, brick roads and diverse friendly neighbors help keep our creative juices flowing.

No matter where you travel or live, some places just feel like home. Wendy and I met at and graduated from The University of Akron. We had some of our first dates in Highland Square. Decades later we would watch our oldest son’s band play at Annabelle’s where we often hung out in college.

We’ll Still Root for The Wadsworth Grizzlies even though we’re in Firestone Falcon Country.

I spent 28 years of my life in Wadsworth, Ohio and my wife was born there. We will always love Wadsworth’s small town charm, excellent schools and of course my family is still there. Plus it’s only 15 minutes down the road to visit my parents and our Wadsworth clients.
